Bookings

We require a £60.00 deposit to secure a cruise date - the balance can be paid on or before the specified cruise date.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation by the hirer, Deposits will not be refunded. If for any reason, it is necessary for Kittywake Canal Cruises to cancel to booking - then the deposit or whole charter fee ( which ever has been paid ) shall be refunded in full, But the hirer shall have no further claim on the company.

The Hirer

The Hirer - Who must be a named individual over the age of 18, Is responsible for the behavior of all the members of their party and for reimbursing Kittywake Canal Cruises for any damage that may occur to the vessel or its fixtures and fittings.

The Skipper

The Skipper ( Who is a fully licensed boat master ) will be in sole charge of the vessel and all aspects of the cruise & venue throughout the charter period and is authorised to take whatever steps necessary to ensure the safety of the passengers, crew, staff and vessel.

Passengers

Passengers shall not board or leave the vessel other then by the proper access provided and only once a crew-member has confirmed it is safe to do so.
The Company, whilst taking all precautions shall not be held responsible for any damage or injury to property or passengers whilst onboard or ashore, however caused.

Bad Weather

During very cold periods - There is a possibility that the canal may freeze over. This may cause disruption to cruises. If a cruise has to be cancelled due to thick ice we are happy to offer an alternative date or a full refund on any deposits paid - We may also be able to offer the boat as a static venue with a partial refund. Please bear this in mind if you intend booking the boat during the winter months.

Food & Drink

We have a number of food & buffet options available - Click HERE for details. The Kittywake barge is a fully licensed premises. For various reasons We do not allow passengers to bring alcohol on-board. We do have a well stocked bar with sensible drink prices. Tea & Coffee is available free of charge to all passengers.
